Our Vision

We perceive our role at Sunnyside nursery as extending the child’s learning to progress from home.  We value parents as the child’s first and most important educator and work to develop positive relationships with each family.  Therefore, we exist to support and develop each individual child in our care to their full potential.   We strive to ensure that every child moves on to the next stage of their education as self-confident, inquiring, creative, independent thinkers who care for and respect others.

Careers

Thinking about a career in Childcare?

We actively engage with local schools, colleges and university to develop future talented staff within the childcare sector. Indeed, many people who took up a volunteer / student placements with us moved on to become regular staff either within our nursery or with other providers of early years education.

All volunteers and students placed with us undergo a program of Induction and are allocated a mentor to work with. Naturally, we demand a good standard of conduct and behaviour from people placed with our nursery and require them to be presentable and professional at all times.

We are committed to equal opportunities for all people and strive hard to explore individual talent and diversity of life experiences that people bring to us.

Sunnyside Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.  Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).

Due to the nature of our profession, C.V’s are not acceptable, therefore to apply for any position please download an Application form.

Please send your job application form to admin@sunnysidenursery.org  along with a covering letter with some details about yourself. Alternatively you could contact our manager Tara Lougheed directly to enquire about child care training on 01582 584177.
